Urban Legal Planners

Urban Legal Planners is dedicated to providing resources, support and guidance to our members. Founded in 2002, ULP sought to recognize and rectify the issues of under- representation of people of colour in the legal profession. Focusing on but not exclusive to Black York University students, ULP understands the intimidating nature of any post- graduate endeavor, and seeks to ease the stress and intimidation involved in the process of applying to law school with events such as workshops pertaining to personal statements and the Law School Admission Test. We also want our members to have a deep understanding of what legal education and legal practices entails, and seek to educate our members with seminars from law students and legal professionals. Finally, we exist to support our members and help steer them into a direction that not only allows them to challenge and motivate themselves on an educational level, but to believe in their great potential for a bright and extraordinary future.
