Dalhousie IB&M Initiative |
The Indigenous Blacks and Mi'kmaq (IB&M) Initiative was established at Dalhousie Law School in 1989 to reduce structural and systemic discrimination by increasing the representation of Indigenous Blacks & Mi'kmaw in the legal profession. Partial funding for tuition, books and housing may be available to students based on need. The Honourable Justice Julius Alexander Isaac Scholarship |
The Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) in partnership with Windsor Law, have established a premiere scholarship in honour of Justice Julius Alexander Isaac, former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Canada, and the first Black Chief Justice in Canada. The scholarship assists students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in education and to their community despite their own challenges. It is awarded annually to a deserving first-year law student entering Windsor Faculty of Law.
